We chose our stallions carefully, with conformation always the first test they needed to pass. We worked on the motto, "Paint the horse plain brown, and it still has to be one of the best horses you've ever seen." We looked for stallions that appealed to the eye of all horse people - not extreme in type, but true to the breed and pleasing on the eye. Conformation, pedigree, movement, temperament and that indefinable touch of something that makes for a great horse is what we looked for - and, of course, we wanted dilute horses. With many national titles, state titles, futurity wins, royal supremes, etc. won by our stallions against all breeds, we know they have proven themselves. Now their offspring are proving themselves and wins by Days of Gold and Nights of Gold offspring include:

Driftwood Traveller A great looking young stallion. One of only two Champagne stallions over 10 hands in Australia (the other being the lovely imported QH). An extremely correct horse with a great temperament and excellent movement - a great way to get the rare Champagne colour gene without paying to import a horse. He is a second cross Australian Stock Horse as well as registered Champagne with Dilutes Australia and is currently getting registered A2 with AQHA . Suitable for breeding to Arabians, ASHs, Thoroughbreds, QHs, ponies, etc. If you are not familiar with this dilution gene, go to http://www.ichregistry.com/ the International Champagne Horse Registry to see the beatiful dilute colours this gene creates - unlike the cream gene, it dilutes black, it also dilutes the brown eyes to a stunning amber colour. It is no different in homozygous form, whereas the cream gene creates the Palominos and Buckskins in single form and the Cremellos and Perlinos in double form. Supreme at Colourama 2008/9 and a big show career ahead of him.
Ahrem Time Out A Silver (Taffy) stud book Australian Stock Horse colt, born 2007, by the black Australian Champion ASH Jondel Brigalow out of Jondel Rayette, with the classic old lines of Rivoli Ray, Elliots Creek Cadet, Cattle Camp, etc. Registered Silver with Dilutes Australia. Supreme at the Qld Dilute Championships and Supreme at Colourama. In order to get this beautiful colouring, you need to breed black mares to him. Brown or bay mares will give lighter dilutions of silver. The silver gene does not express on chestnut.
